We had the pleasure of gathering at Jan’s house for our 2nd Monday weavers get together.  I hadn’t realized how long Jan has been weaving but when she brought out a whole bin of projects I was pretty much in awe. Few things make me happier than a pile of handwoven fabric.

I am trying to weave my own pile of handwovens for the up coming Winding Roads Art Tour
My scarf pile is still very small, especially with the tour only a couple of weeks away but I am weaving as fast as I can and still be able to stand up straight. Of course I am not putting on easy fast to weave things.  My recent warp has 640 ends and is for shoulder wraps and whatever else I can get made out of it. I’m having fun playing with all of the rose path patterns.

The scarves I brought to show are another run of deflected double weave, these with a combo of hand dyed warps.  One of which was from Carr Park Artisans and I loved it so much that I want to try ice dyeing my own warps,  but not until after the tour.

I’m looking forward to  being at Nan’s house for the tour, we make a darn good team and it should just be a fun weekend all around.  Check out her beautiful jewelry here  or what the heck; just come visit us the first weekend in June.
