Novembers 2nd Monday gathering found a van load of fiber friends traveling to LaCrosse, to Kathy’s sweet northside home. As always it is fun to see the spaces that inspire us to weave or create. Kathy’s Glimakra loom was threaded with a lovely rayon chenille fabric, soon to be a piece of wearable art. I was most jealous of her closet with actual inventory in it and it was most amusing to see how many weavers squished into it to check out her vests and ponchos.
We gathered around her table, filled with fiber projects galore, a hand painted journal and more than enough inspiration to get us through the beginning of the winter months. My favorite memory was singing Happy Birthday to Kathy in, I believe 3 different languages; english and danish for sure. A lovely, fibery day to celebrate the birthday of a good friend.
Love seeing this Angie – thank you!
