This years Wisconsin Sheep and Wool festival was as always a whirlwind of fiber, sheep, friends, and lots of color…everywhere.
My friend Nan took a spinning class and helped me man the booth; and I must say that we make a pretty good team. We had great fun with her demonstrations of how to wear the Infinite Loop top that she had just finished knitting out of one of our Habu Textiles yarns. Thanks Barb for helping me get the truck unloaded. Not my favorite part of these fiber fairs, if I could just teleport there and back it would be even more fun.
As always it was fun visiting with customers, some that we see every year (yeah Heidi and Natalie) and many new to us. Caitlin Bongers of the Netherlands showed off the wristers she had designed. We also saw some sweet project bags sewn by Sweet T Knits and some incredible felting by Anna Winette. Our next door vendor, Wendy of Saga Hill designs had lots of items to tempt us in case we got bored in our booth. Looking forward to using the silk I bought from her in a future scarf. If you didn’t make it there this year I hope you are inspired by these many pictures to take a road trip to Jefferson next year.
