So, with our first snowfall of the season a large group of fellow weavers journeyed to  Denise's newly purchased home, for our 2nd Monday gathering.  It was fun to welcome a few new faces and with many faces we don't see all that often; Denises' house was bursting at the seams with fiber conversations here, [...]

So, picture this; it is my anniversary weekend and I managed to talk my husband into going with me on the Sheep and Fiber Farm Tour going on in Minnesota last weekend.  Whoo ho, what a guy!  My main desire was to see the Faribault Woolen Mill that was giving tours.  Our tour guide was [...]

the scarves of summer

Now that my September fairs are over I am finding the time for life's other pleasures, namely blogging, playing with my photos and in general, still ignoring the weeds in my flower beds and the spider webs that pop up every where this time of year. Time to enjoy the crisp air and the sweet [...]

Driftless Area Art Fair

This is always a sweet fair, with great music, lots of interesting food and many familiar and friendly faces.  It doesn't hurt that the art fair organizers treat the artists like royalty, throwing an incredible feast Saturday night and keeping us going with handouts of tasty apples and water throughout the fair.  Other than having [...]

All my dyeing was not for naught.  (That just sounded too Shakespearean to not say.)  Nan and I had a very successful and tiring  3 days of total immersion in everything sheepy.  Nan even got to see a lamb being born with some assistance from the shepherd.  I saw a set of quadruplets shortly after [...]
