There is nothing more beautiful to me than a tree or bush, loaded with lush red berries. Today Nan and her son Ethan and I went to a local orchard to pick cherries. I had 2 pails tied around my waist with a rope and in no time at all we both had our pails full and made our way home with about 10 lbs of cherries. My cherry tree at home has provided a pie or two over the years but is nearing the end of its life and this year the birds got what few cherries there were. Looks like the birds here in the orchard are behind the game cause there were plenty for us to choose from.
Good day to wear a red shirt.
Pails tied around my waist. Occasionally a cherry would bounce off my chest and land in the bucket.; proving I was highly skilled at this.
My second favorite part..cherry pie!
Oh fun and yum! Cherry pie is one of my favorites, Pear being the other, although a good peach pie is a treat too, but we have them as peach shortcake most often.
Oh, I am so pleased to have found your blog…..a weaver myself, it is such fun to see what you are doing.
Beautiful pictures too.
This is lovely!
I wish I could have a red cherry tree in my garden
I do have a cherry tree but I'm not too sure about the type of cherries it bears
