We are fortunate in our little town to have the Viroqua Food Cooperative that not only feeds our community but fosters and supports our community in so many ways.
Our 2nd Monday weavers group has met at the coop for two of our recent gatherings. Last Monday my DH’s sister Mary Kay brought her weaver friend Dave all the way from Owatonna, MN to meet us. I think that fiber people have an instant connection and I hope that Mary Kay and Dave can make it our way again soon. He certainly brought some beautiful textiles to show us. His lovely linen and cotton overshot table runner is a classic that is now on my to do list.
A couple of days ago we had record breaking temps in the 90’s and today I’m looking out at about 5 inches of snow with more to come. I saved what daffodils I could, that had just opened and picked some Magnolia branches because, well I couldn’t bring the whole tree in. Par for the course for spring in Wisconsin, but still what the bloody hell…

I’m smitten by the blue scarf. I wonder if it is silk.
Hi Fran
The very top picture is rayon, the blue and black plaid is bamboo I believe and the one that I wove in deflected double weave is tencel and a little bamboo. I wish silk wasn’t so expensive because I do love it.
